Sally joined Refresh in February 2016 in an office administration and sales support role. Prior to raising a family, Sal’s background was in Human Resources where she worked in New Zealand and Australia in a variety of industries.
Sally is married to Greg, and they have three daughters Charlie, Jessie and Sammie, as well as Bonnie the energetic and much-loved Border Collie. While out of the corporate world due to the young family, Sally busied herself with part-time starting a small fruit delivery company and working as a primary school teacher aide. Being a parent has also meant a range of voluntary commitments including netball coach, team manager for cricket, touch rugby, and waterpolo as well as administrative roles on the school PTA.
These days Sally works four days a week for Refresh. She has a first-hand understanding of the renovation and building processes, having undertaken a large-scale renovation of her family home as well as completing a new home build in 2016. Her involvement in the Refresh process varies as required. It can include attending site visits with clients at the briefing stage, drafting the scope of works, organising the various trades and subcontractors to attend site visits for quoting, and drafting quotes for clients. Sally also takes clients on showroom visits to make selections such as tiles, carpet and bathroom fittings.
Her office tasks include payments, pricing and quoting, and liaising with council and their agencies to complete the Certificates of Code Compliance on project completion. Sally enjoys being part of an industry which is practical and varied, and the satisfaction of seeing people’s homes transformed. Frequent interactions with clients, tradespeople, and suppliers means there is never a dull moment, and she is very grateful to have found a role at Refresh which allows her the flexibility to be part of all of this while still being available for her family.
In terms of interests, Sally likes to ski, play tennis and watch movies. She also loves to travel with family and Greg’s business, and sporting interests provide plenty of opportunities for family getaways.
