Epsom renovation leads to Master Build House of the Year entry

Six years in with Refresh, the success of Auckland Renovation Consultants Jim and Del Gleeson just keeps growing. Following the completion of a stunning renovation in Epsom, Jim and Del have entered the property into the Master Build Regional House of the Year Awards. 
On top of carrying out restoration work on the 1990s villa’s ornate ceilings, Jim and Del’s team completely transformed the bathrooms and kitchen.
“There was a massive transformation in the bathrooms”, says Jim. “They went from old and tired to lovely, modern, tiled bathroom spaces. The kitchen was the second transformation. It went from a dark, pokey little corner kitchen with large gaps of wood; to a large, modern kitchen with a lot of light.”
In a testimonial video, homeowners Graham and Sandra sing their praises about their new home and, in particular, their new kitchen.
“If you look at the photos of before and you look at after it’s just like - wow”, says Graham.
“That’s what everybody does, they come in and they go wow the kitchen looks fabulous!”, confirms Sandra.
It’s no surprise, then, that Jim and Del have also entered the Heart of the Kitchen Award, as well as the Bathroom Excellence Award.  
The renovation will be judged using a point system, which looks at aspects such as design, function and quality of work. To qualify as a local category winner, a renovation must receive a score higher than 90%.
The Auckland regional awards will be presented on August 10th at Sky City.
