Leigh and Tara were no strangers to renovating, having bought and refurbished several homes in the past, but for this project they were looking for the right person to manage the renovation for them. Our Renovation Planning and Design 

Leigh and Tara had an eye for design and specific ideas in mind for transforming their home. A showpiece kitchen that would connect to the pool area was a top priority. This would include converting a cluttered laundry room into a butler’s pantry and euro laundry. A new family bathroom was required, as well as modernising the library area in the lounge room and adding a fireplace. New timber flooring throughout as well as carpet would refresh the entire space. Less visible but just as important to plan for was replacing the garage roof.

Leigh and Tara’s ideas would elevate their home into a stylish, modern, property with fabulous flow and functionality. Once Leigh M. had an in-depth understanding of their goals, he was able to arrange detailed designs and budgets for Leigh and Tara to approve, and the exciting transformation could begin.

Major Renovation Underway

Major renovations like Leigh and Tara’s require a raft of specialist suppliers and tradespeople, from tilers, plumbers, and painters, to gas fitters, cabinetmakers, stonemasons and more. Luckily, Leigh M. had an established network of local professionals he trusted to deliver exceptional work and was able to coordinate and schedule a revolving door of people working on the renovation, despite unexpected issues with materials and COVID restrictions.

One of the most significant changes was the wall opening from the new kitchen directly to the outside decking and pool area. This required a new steel beam, which meant a building permit was required. Leigh M. also took care of all that paperwork as part of the complete Refresh service.

Elsewhere in the home, new flooring was completed, the library was updated, the bathroom transformed along with a separate powder room, and a study nook created. The cluttered laundry was converted into a butler’s pantry, and a show-stopping kitchen was installed.

A Modern Sense of Style

Leigh and Tara’s home was transformed from ordinary to outstanding, with refined design choices throughout. A significant investment in the kitchen turned it into a showpiece, featuring an elegant island with waterfall stone benchtop, stylish pendant lighting, ample storage, and designer appliances. The adjacent dining room’s new stacker doors open to the beautiful pool area, providing seamless indoor-outdoor flow.

The updated library living area looks chic with in-built custom cabinetry, a recessed TV space, and a gas fireplace. Installing new timber flooring with a much lighter tone gave the home the light, beachy feel that Tara and Leigh wanted, while new carpet also refreshed the bedrooms.

The main bathroom also received a stunning makeover, with dual vanities, a separate bath and shower, and even a separate powder room.
